The ARTiTEX Time Study mobile app is used to record live production data at a sewing workstation. Sewing and handling times are automatically measured, output is counted and the time and frequency of all relevant work interruptions are recorded in real time and transferred to the web monitor for immediate analyses.
Workers receive instructions and tutorials via the app to suit the work task and can view their own performance in the app.
With an add-on for the app, quality inspectors can document and immediately analyse the result of visual in-line or end-of-line inspections, including a photo of the defect found. Another add-on can use AI models to automatically recognise anomalies, such as skipped stitches, with the smartphone camera.
The ARTiTEX app platform also offers tools for automatic line balancing and for organising the borrowing of workers to other sewing lines.
The retrofit solution can be used at any workstation in a sewing production line.
