Leading international trade fair for processing textile and flexible materials

At Texprocess, international exhibitors will present the latest machines, plants, processes and services for the manufacture of garments and textile and flexible materials from 14 to 17 May 2019 in Frankfurt am Main. • Complete textile process chain: Here, you can find all the technologies involved, from design, cutting, sewing, knitting and embroidery to finishing, refining, IT and logistics.
  • Creativity and high-tech: The technologies for processing textiles at Texprocess inspire new designs.
  • International top decision-makers: Around half of the trade visitors who attend make purchasing decisions for their companies.
  • Strong trade fair duo: Together with Techtextil, which takes place at the same time, Texprocess showcases the entire textile value chain, from the fibre to recycling.

‘At the fair a lively exchange takes place between the industry, start-ups, research and science institutes. In the age of digitization, internet of things and industry 4.0. this is elementary.’

Dirk Wiese

‘High-tech materials based on fibres are essential in space travel when it comes to reducing the weight of space capsules. Every additional gram increases costs. Furthermore, textiles also save lives.’

Dr. Reinhold Ewald

Micro-Factories – an approach to textile processing which is fully networked and allows individualised products, while working rapidly, flexibly and locally – will be the focal subject at the coming Texprocess. Texprocess 2019 features five micro-factories.

Exhibitor presents an exhibit

Texprocess and Techtextil are sharing an exhibition hall for the first time

In May 2019, Texprocess and the parallel Techtextil will be sharing an exhibition hall for the first time. In Hall 4.1, Techtextil will be showcasing some of the suppliers of woven, laid web, braided and knitted fabrics, coated textiles, and nonwovens, as well as selected suppliers of textile machines. Suppliers of functional apparel textiles and the 'Digital Textile Micro Factory' mark the transition to Texprocess.

The new focus on sustainability at the upcoming Texprocess

Focus on sustainability

Sustainability is one of the central themes of the upcoming Texprocess and Techtextil. For the first time, the two fairs will be showcasing their exhibitors’ efforts towards sustainability. Texprocess and Techtextil Innovation Awards give prizes for sustainable innovations. In addition, the Texprocess Forum will offer a thematic block exclusively around the theme of sustainability in the textile and fashion industry, with an offshoot of Fashionsustain, Messe Frankfurt’s conference about sustainable textile innovations.

City of the Future Key visual

Special Event “Urban Living – City of the Future”

According to the United Nations, nearly 70 percent of all people are expected to be living in metropolises and megacities by 2050. This poses new challenges for living and mobility concepts, as well as food supplies and health services provision. Functional apparel, with smart functions for example, could also play an even more important role in people’s everyday lives in the future. The Techtextil and Texprocess exhibition area will be presenting examples of textile applications.
