Sewing machines for heavy textiles

Fischer Automation GmbH

Description

Many industrial textiles that are designed to endure extreme stresses impose high processing requirements on sewing machines. These machines, in their structure and properties, must be set up to handle the heavy product weights. Heat-resistant and flame-retardant fabrics or geotextiles, such as those used for erosion control on hillsides or for underground work, are generally very heavy.

The solution

FISCHER AUTOMATION systems are tailored to meet the customer’s requirements for the production of custom textiles and materials for the construction, plastics, automotive, and leather industries. The extremely flat butt seams can also be processed in an airtight and watertight manner in an additional operation using a tape device.
This prevents media from escaping through the perforations created by the needles, for example. Textiles can also be sewn with overlapped seams as an alternative. Individual workstations or even complete production lines can be developed and built.

The benefits

The machine technology enables safe, simple, and quick processing of extremely resilient, heavy textiles and materials.

Technical specifications

Material thickness: up to max. 20 mm depending on the machine
Variety of options, such as driven roller presser foot, geared puller etc.

Automated labeling machine

Automated labeling machine

FISCHER AUTOMATION,s automated labeling solution integrates all the steps in the labeling process. The individual steps of printing, cutting, dispensing and sewing are brought together in a unified, automated labeling process that is independent of lot size.

The solution

This automated labeling machine is distinguished by the following
functions:

  • One- or two-sided printed labels – thermotransfer printing
  • Label is automatically cut to length, fed to the sewing area, and fastened
  • Looped or flag-type labels
  • Cutting options include cold, hot, and ultrasonic cutting to prevent unraveling of the label
  • Attachment of labels to any textile product with freely programmable bar tacking or spot tacking

Tacking machines are also available from various manufacturers and will be procured and installed according to the customer,s wishes.
In addition, labels can be fed from the roll instead of the printer.
A height-adjustable stand allows for ergonomic adaptation to the work environment. An optional barcode scanner makes it possible to automatically scan in orders for any number of labels, starting from one.

The benefits

By attaching individually printed labels to textiles in a single process, FISCHER AUTOMATION,s automated labeling machine brings superior flexibility to the process. The added value is obvious:

  • Substantial time savings in regard to labeling
  • Greater production flexibility
  • Increased production performance
  • Automated labeling for lot sizes as small as 1, e.g. for made-to-measure garments

Technical specifications

Maximum label width: 40 mm, wider labels are an optional possibility
Standard sewing area: 40 mm x 30 mm, larger areas are optional
